Kristen C. White is the director ofKōtare Wellness. She is a New Zealand Registered Dietitian Prescriber and Wellness Coach with over 19 years of experience helping people achieve better health through food. She has a particular interest in chronic conditions impacted by nutrition such as diabetes, other hormonal imbalances (such as PCOS), cardiovascular disease, IBS and excess body weight.
In addition to her private practice, Kristen works as a diabetes dietitian at the MHT Diabetes Trust. She's worked as a clinical dietitian in a variety of roles across primary and secondary health care, and in dietetics education with the University of Otago. Kristen trained in nutrition and dietetics at the Pennsylvania State University and Iowa State University, and holds a MSc from the University of Minnesota. She completed the Monash University 'Low FODMAP Diet for IBS' training course for health professionals, is a Level 3 assessed Health and Wellness coach with Wellness Coaching Australia and is trained in professional supervision. She's also done advanced training in obesity for pediatrics and adults with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and in mindful eating with the Center for Mindful Eating. She is a professional member of Dietitians New Zealand, the New Zealand Society for the Study of Diabetes and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
